A man eating McNuggets was startled after what appeared to be a piece of vinyl was found in one of the nuggets in a restaurant in Tokyo. The piece of vinyl was lost after an employee tried to put it on a napkin but missed. The incident was reported 5 days after, so it's Ben difficult to tell where the object came from. A few days later another object was found in a nugget from a restaurant in Aomori. The company is looking into the supplier company in Thailand (which they switched to after their 1st supplier was found using rotten meat) to see if there is a possible connection between these 2 cases.
With foreign objects showing up more frequently in Japanese McDonalds, I think that it's pretty obvious that the government should do something. I don't know if it is the lack of laws or the lack of enforcement of laws to keep these type of things from happening, but the gov should do something about it.

I think that if there is a problem with the supplier then it should be taken care of. If these things keep on happening then I think there will be action taken and the food industry will have to make some changes in their standards.
ReplyDeleteThese things happen, but twice in a few days with a recent switch to a new supplier is a bit scary.

It is a bit weird that after switching suppliers there has been multiple cases if this.
DeleteObviously they have standards, if they're switching suppliers. I think their problem is they're just finding the cheapest route, that will fulfill those standards. Working in the Fast Food industry, I know that there is very very high standards for quality.
ReplyDeleteYeah they are making sooo much money you would think they could spend some extra money and make sure what they are serving is edible. I think there should be some regulation on this.
